Did you know that 63% of those residing in a homeless shelter on any given night in Orange County is a family with school-aged children? Or that nearly 13,000 individuals go homeless each year?
HomeAid Orange County’s mission is to build new lives for homeless families and individuals through housing and community outreach. We achieve this mission through advocacy, development (of shelters) and service.
HomeAid is focusing its development efforts on emergency housing and improving the efficacy of Orange County’s emergency shelters. HomeAid also offers service programs including HomeAid Cares, Essentials and CareKits. Care projects maintain existing developments that serve the homeless. Essentials is a community effort to collect baby products such as diapers for homeless mothers and babies and CareKits provide items for those homeless living on the streets.

The Chang Family Foundation was established in 1999 with the support of tennis great Michael Chang and his family. The foundation is a natural extension of the Family’s core values and an affirmation of their commitment to community service and helping those less fortunate.
In addition to hosting one of Southern California’s most popular tennis tournaments, CFF is committed to reaching into the local community to assist the underserved. Funds are raised through tennis events and other sporting avenues to support various needs in our community, some of which include homelessness, breast cancer awareness, providing school supplies and Christmas gifts for the less fortunate. Financial donations to the Chang Family Foundation support its community outreach programs.
