The Michael Chang Tennis Classic is a charity tennis tournament that got its start in the summer of 2011 as a way to bring the tennis community together in a fun and competitive environment. The tournament has been touted as one of the most enjoyable and well run USTA adult tournaments around. The team of volunteers and staffers put in countless hours to make the Chang Classic a one of a kind tennis event. In addition to the tournament the Chang Classic hosts a World Class Exhibition Match and an all pro-tennis clinic for the tournament’s financial sponsors. At the helm of all of this is Michael Chang himself making sure everyone is well-served. Michael not only participants in every aspect of the Chang Classic but he also personally presents every division finalist and winner with their trophies.
This year’s main charity recipient of the proceeds from the Chang Classic is Fellowship of Christian Athletes. FCA challenges athletes and coaches at all levels to serve their local communities and make the world a better place using the powerful platform of sports.
